Paris Visone: I’m With the Band: On Tour With Limp Bizkit

Boston-based documentary photographer Paris Visone began working with American nü metal band Limp Bizkit in 2012. In the beginning of the year, she spent a month with the band both in the U.S. and Europe.

Visone was a huge fan of the band in the late 1990s. “They were my favorite,” Visone tells PDN via e-mail. And “they are definitely one of my favorite bands to photograph because they are such individuals. I love the dynamic of the band, from [guitarist] Wes Borland’s awesome stage wear to [lead singer] Fred Durst’s undeniable persona. In the end they are just really nice guys and awesome to work with. They get what I’m doing, and they give me access that every photographer/fan only dreams of.”

In mid-August Visone also spent a week documenting the the band in China and South Korea. The band was invited to participate in Hyundai’s “CityBreak” two-day concert at the Jamsil Sports Complex, built for the 1986 Olympics in Seoul, Korea.

Even if Limp Bizkit isn’t in your Spotify playlist, it’s impressive to consider that the band has sold over 40 million records worldwide.
