It’s official: Limp Bizkit signs with Cash Money Records

Lil’ Wayne has made it official in a radio interview some hours ago: Limp Bizkit has signed a new record deal with Cash Money Records. The news has had a big impact in the media as MTV.com quickly wrote about it and Limp Bizkit has become a wordwide trending topic on Twitter for a while (and, as of now, it still is in the USA).

Fred Durst and DJ Lethal, through Twitter and Facebook, have both expressed their joy about them joining Cash Money records and Fred went a little bit further quoting the lyrics for the unreleased song “Ready to Go”. This song was supposed to be released on Gold Cobra featuring Lil’ Wayne but it never saw the light of the day. The reason why it never got released is still unknown, but the rumour says it was because Interscope could not get to an agreement with Cash Money to have Lil’ Wayne on the song. Now, with the new deal and Fred’s tweet, it is possible that the song will see the light of the day.

The next logical step, as it’s common when a band signs a new record deal, would be announcing a new album. It’s definitely an exciting time to be a Limp Bizkit fan. Stay tuned!
